As a former youth motivational speaker, I’ve presented for hundreds of high school career days, but never one that came with a test drive. However, facing an impeding labor shortage in the road construction industry that could potentially devastate the state’s economy, high schools in Oklahoma are pulling out the big guns, or in this case ‘the big tractors’, and letting testosterone-rich teens hop on board and picture themselves moving mountains (or soybean fields) of dirt.
